Yesterday there was this comedy thing on the TV and I was watching it with my parents. I don’t really like watching comedy with my parents because then I can’t laugh at the jokes involving sex because then they’ll know that I know what sex is and it’ll be awkward because then whenever they see me within two meters of a male they’ll be like “WE NEED TO GIVE YOU THE TALK”. And I don’t want that because I learnt everything I need to know from the internet, like all NORMAL teenagers (who actually finds out what sex is by their parents telling them anyway?). Where was I going with this again? Oh yes, I remember.

So there was this comedian and he was bashing twitter. Basically saying that Twitter is stupid and the only things people say on there are things like “just ate a banana lololol!!!!”. Which is completely untrue because that is 20% of posts MAXIMUM. Also Stephen Fry uses it and he is awesome therefore by simple logic so is Twitter. But my Mum thought it was really funny. I mean, really really funny. She was laughing so much she looked like she would spontaneously combust. Which is wrong because she never goes on the internet so can’t possibly know anything about twitter, so I told her. This is how it went.

Mum: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS SO FUNNY AND SO TRUE
Me: How can you possibly know that? You’ve never even been on Twitter?
Mum: BUT I KNOW HE’S RIGHT THOUGH TWITTER IS SO RUBBISH!!!!
Me: You know nothing about the internet at all so can’t possibly comment on what this guy is saying?
Mum: YES I CAN IT’S HILARIOUS. I KNOW THAT TWITTER IS RUBBISH FROM WHAT I READ IN THE DAILY MAIL.
Me: HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT TWITTER OR THE INTERNET?! YOU BARELY KNOW HOW TO GOOGLE.
Mum: BUT WHAT HE IS SAYING IS RIGHT LOLOLOLOL THE INTERNET IS SO USELESS AND STUPID AND I THINK EVERYTHING YOU LOVE IS POINTLESS SO BY EXTENSION I THINK YOU ARE POINTLESS. EVERYONE ON THE INTERNET ARE IDIOTS AND I’M CLEARLY SUPERIOR BECAUSE I DON’T GO ON THE INTERNET.*

At this point I gave up and went on the internet.

In conclusion; SCREW YOU MUM THE INTERNET IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME AND NOTHING YOU DO WILL CHANGE THAT.

*that may have been a slight exaggeration

I’ve packed up and left Pinstripes and Converse and moved into a new blog, Perpetual! I felt like a fresh start and a shorter domain name. To be honest it was hard getting six syllables to fit into layouts.

This blog is going to be mainly a personal blog, I might put up some artwork later and at the moment I’m working on fanlistings. Also I’m going to try my hand at some PHP scripts, so maybe you can have some of those to look forward too!

Anyway, this site isn’t completely finished. I’m going to be adding a lot more in the summer because I have a lot of spare time! But I will be away for two weeks from the 27th.

Yay for the grand opening! *pops open champagne*
