I’ve started school again :O Except this time it’s different. I only do 3ish subjects and get to where my own clothes (sort of). And I get free periods!
Okay, lets start with my subjects. I do Physics, Maths, Further Maths and History. So 3ish. If you count maths and further maths together. Whenever I tell anyone my subjects they usually go “ouch” with this pained expression on their face just imagining what it’d be like. Either that or they go “Ahhh, that’s um, interesting” then quickly change the subject. Nobody likes maths :( I like it because I am a nerd. And having 19 lessons of maths a week is like nerd heaven. And I do! :D
Physics is okay. I love physics, but the course we’re doing is well, pretty crap. I love the theoretical side of physics, like relativity and quantum physics. I think it’s all fascinating, but none of that is on the course. It’s all about sport and music because they think that would be more interesting than learning about actual physics, and it isn’t at all really. What is more interesting than learning how stars warp time itself? I guess I’ll have to wait til uni to learn some actual physics. Also continue reading lots of physics books.
History I mainly took because, as much as I love it, my brain might explode with all that maths and physics. We’re learning about Elizabeth I and Russia. The teacher for Russia is great. Today he was singing the Russian national anthem in Russian because he was high on coffee. More teachers should be completely bonkers.
Also, I get to wear my own clothes! I know in most other countries you get to do that anyway, but for the past 12 years of my life I’ve had to wear school uniform, and for five of those years the uniform included a kilt. And now I don’t! :D There’s a dress code, we have to wear suits, which is a bit rubbish, but at least we get to decide what we’re wearing! And I get free periods. Oh my god I don’t know how I coped without them. I can do loads of homework at school and have barely any when I get home. It’s heaven on earth, seriously.
So this is my impression of my first 8 days of Sixth Form. I think it’ll be fun. That is, untill we get to doing exams. Then it probably won’t be. But before then, all is well. And I have science club tomorrow! I love science club, we get to do science :D
(Oh, and I finished reading Crime and Punishment by the way! It got good at the end)

My whole education has lead up to these letters, now it’s over. Golly this feels weird. Anyway.
Things I am very happy about: Science, Maths and History. Especially History. Trying my best not to sound snobbish but science and maths are my best subjects, so I’m used to getting good grades in them. History, however, comes a little less natural to me. I worked really hard to get an A* and I did! I feel like squeeing. I think I might.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Things I’m happy about: Art. I put so much work into this subject. Easily half my time I spent doing homework and coursework was on Art alone. And I got an A! To get an A* I’d need 59/60 or something ridiculous like that, so I’m very happy with my A.
Things I’m a bit “meh” about: RS and Latin. Latin I’m happy with really, but I would have liked to have gotten an A*; I’m not going to complain about “only” getting an A though :P RS I’m a bit annoyed about, because I got an A* in my coursework and I thought I did well in my exams, but I got two grades lower than expected. They were my first exams though and I’m not too fussed because a B is still good. It just ruins my results slip a bit :P
Further comments: OCR sucks as an exam board. They printed half my grades wrong!
Now I’m going on into Sixth Form to do A Levels in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and History. Then it’s university! Oh my science then I’ll have to get an actual job. Eeep!
